The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of heroes, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, demons, and sinister influences expanding in influence within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might appear mismatched, but the developments of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing started the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his own means, breaking into the secret base, attacking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in the influential clan could enable the group enter places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that control the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them little choice but to head to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent the following episode, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Questers and Schemers parties.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
